Tasha Simmons’ life is a mess. She just ended her engagement to Todd. Having minored in journalism at Florida State College School of Circus Performance, (referred to as “Clown School” by everyone but Tasha), and still living at home with her parents, Tasha wants to start a career in Broadcast News. As luck would have it, WBGF Channel 64 is in need of a rookie reporter to cover the story involving the mayor who is discovered passed out behind the local strip club. With wacky family, friends and co-workers, “Boca Grande” follows Tasha as she goes from “the new girl” to nominee for the prestigious Florida Association of Broadcasters “FLABBY” award.
